Mayura invitation preview

A simple formula for any invitation message

Greeting (with their name) → invitation line → names, date and city → link (on its own line) → personal line → sign-off

Keep it to five or six short lines. Use the person's name. Put the link on its own line so it's easy to tap. To send it the right way (personal chats, broadcast lists, link previews), see how to send it on WhatsApp.

What to avoid

  • A wall of text. Five or six lines is plenty, and the invitation link carries the details.
  • A link buried mid-sentence. Give it its own line.
  • One message for everyone. Elders, friends and colleagues each deserve a different tone.
  • Late-night sends to elders.
  • Heavy attachments when a link will do.
  • Forgetting the RSVP date.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write a wedding invitation message for WhatsApp?

Greet the person by name, invite them in one line, give the names, date and city, add the invitation link on its own line, and close warmly with who it's from.

How do I invite someone to a wedding in Hindi on WhatsApp?

Messages 24–31 above are in Hindi and Hinglish. For elders, start with "आदरणीय" (respected) and invite them "सपरिवार" (with family).

Should I send the same message to everyone?

No. Use a respectful, personal message for elders, a warm one for relatives, and a lighter one for friends. The invitation link stays the same.

What should I send with a wedding card on WhatsApp?

A short message with the person's name, the date and city, and a link to the full invitation, so they don't have to zoom into an image to find the venue.
